Week 6: Earth

This week was a lot of fun, we focused on the letter E and learned about Earth, elephants, envelopes and more.  We talked about oceans and continents and had fun painting our own earths with shaving cream paint.  We practiced building letter Es with blocks and popsicle sticks.  We worked on our scissor skills and blending our letter sounds to make words. These kids love to sing, dance, read and are so excited about learning.  I love all of the curious questions.  There's never a dull moment with these great kids! I Love it!

Week 5: Dinosaurs

This week was a blast!  We focused on the letter D and Dinosaurs! We made dinosaur fossils out of play dough and then just like Paleontologists dug them up and studied them.  Our butterflies emerged from their chrysalis, one came out right during class, it was fun to see the kids so excited.  After reading "How do dinosaurs eat their food" we practiced our Dino manners, everyone earned all of their politeness points.  We practiced counting, sorting and adding dinosaurs also.  These kids make me laugh everyday and their enthusiasm for learning is contagious!
