Week 15: Nutrition
We had a fun day with letter N and having a Thanksgiving feast! We made Thankful Turkeys and I loved hearing these sweet kids list all of the many things they are grateful for. We practiced our good manners as we ate pie and turkey, The students enjoyed telling funny Turkey stories and we also talked abut the Pilgrims. I hope each of your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Week 14: Music
Letter M was the star this week, and the students loved learning about music! We played several different types of musical instruments and made some of our own. We sorted, counted and graphed M&Ms (a few disappeared :) We also had a lot of fun with silly monster stories, songs and making our own monsters out of letter Ms. We had a special guest come share a few fun books with us too. I love to laugh and learn with these great kids!

Week 13: Leaves and Tress
This week was a lot of fun, we focused on the letter L and learned about leaves and trees. We studied and labeled the parts of a tree and went on a leaf hunt. We have been learning our days of the week song and months of the year song and the students love singing! Our lion books and leaf letters were fun to make and the kids are constantly improving with their writing.

Week 12: Kites
We had a fun week with kites, kangaroos kings and more. We worked on scissor skills, letter recognition and fine motor skills. We filled Ken the Kangaroos pouch with words that begin with the letter K, We learned how kites worked and read some books about Kangaroos and Kites. We are counting to 40 and are up to 30 spanish words. These kids have great imaginations and love to play our phonics games. It is fun to celebrate with these awesome kids when they write their name, learn new letters, or sound out words!

Week 11: Jungle and Halloween
This week we learned about letter J and the Jungle! We spotted several jungle animals and even some letter Js on our safari. These kids are getting better and better at recognizing letters and knowing their sounds. Their writing skills and scissor skills have improved a lot too. Our Halloween party was a hit, we had a "mummy race", pumpkin pop, made a letter monster pumpkin and went trick or treating.
